Vastu Architecture
Garland Park is the extension of an existing development of 63 homes in Rendlesham. All these buildings have been designed and built according to the principles of Maharishi Vastu architecture. The 75 new homes in Garland Park are also being designed and built according to the principles of Maharishi Vastu architecture. The external appearance and style of the buildings are typical for Suffolk. They reflect the architectural heritage of the county.
Theory & Practice
The purpose of Maharishi Vastu is to create buildings that have only positive and nourishing influences on their occupants. What is a Vastu home? There are 3 key principles in Maharishi Vastu architecture: Right Direction, Right Placement, and Right Proportion.

Principle 1
Right Direction
Homes oriented to the east, the direction of the rising sun, promote health, happiness, and success. And, working and sleeping in the recommended directions are associated with better physical and mental health.
Principle 2
Right Placement
The strongest influence of natural law comes from the Sun, and as it travels from east to west it generates different qualities of energy. A home should be designed so that these different energies correspond to the specific activity intended for each room. Then natural law will always support all aspects of our daily activity.

Principle 3
Right Proportion
Homes are designed with symmetries and proportions calculated to resonate with all holistic structures of nature and natural law, nourishing our physiology and establishing a harmonious relationship to our earth as well as Sun, Moon, planets and stars.
Because the individual life is cosmic, everything about individual life should be in full harmony with cosmic life. Maharishi Vastu architecture gives dimensions, formulas, and orientations to the buildings that will provide cosmic harmony and support to the individual for his peace, prosperity, and good health – daily life in accord with Natural Law, daily life in the evolutionary direction.
